KefiCircle Privacy Notice
KefiCircle is an independently operated private community service. This Privacy Notice explains what information KefiCircle collects, how it is used and shared, and the choices you have.
1. Information We Collect
KefiCircle may collect:
Your name, mobile phone number, and email address if provided.
Information you provide when applying for or maintaining membership.
Profile information you choose to provide, such as your photo, occupation, skills, interests, neighborhood or general area, languages, and bio.
Posts, photos, saved posts, saved searches, help requests, reports, and other information you submit.
Sponsorship and invitation information.
Records of agreements and consents.
Login, device, security, account-status, and administrative information.
Technical information needed to operate and protect KefiCircle.
2. How We Use Your Information
KefiCircle uses information to:
Process applications and manage accounts.
Verify your identity and provide account security.
Provide the member directory, posts, searches, alerts, announcements, and other community features.
Show other members information you choose to share.
Communicate with you about your account and KefiCircle services.
Administer and moderate the community.
Investigate reports, misuse, or security concerns.
Maintain necessary records and comply with legal requirements.
KefiCircle does not sell your personal information.
3. Text Messages
KefiCircle uses mobile phone numbers for service-related text messages. These may include authentication codes, invitations, account notices, post reminders, saved-search alerts you enable, and other messages related to KefiCircle services.
KefiCircle does not use its SMS program for advertising or promotional marketing.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
Reply STOP to opt out and HELP for help. Where supported, START or UNSTOP may resume messages.
SMS is part of how KefiCircle operates. If you opt out of required text messages, some features may stop working and KefiCircle may be unable to continue providing your membership.
KefiCircle does not sell your mobile number or SMS consent information or share it with others for their own marketing. Information needed to send messages may be provided to service providers that send messages on KefiCircle's behalf.
4. What Other Members Can See
Information you put in your profile, posts, or other community-visible areas may be seen by other authorized KefiCircle members.
Do not post information you do not want other members to see, including sensitive personal information.
Saved posts, saved searches, and similar private features are not intended to be visible to other members. Authorized administrators may access information when reasonably necessary to operate or protect KefiCircle.
5. Service Providers and Administrators
KefiCircle may use service providers to host, store, secure, process, or transmit information needed to operate the service.
Authorized administrators may access information when needed to manage membership, provide help, moderate content, investigate reports, maintain security, or perform other authorized administrative duties.
Certain administrative actions may be recorded for security and accountability.
6. Keeping and Deleting Information
KefiCircle keeps information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate and protect the service, maintain appropriate records, resolve disputes, and meet legal requirements.
You may request account deletion through KefiCircle's available account-deletion process.
When an account is permanently deleted, KefiCircle will delete member information according to its account and retention procedures. Limited records may be kept when reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, moderation accountability, dispute resolution, or legal requirements.
7. Photos and Uploaded Content
KefiCircle may process uploaded photos and other files as needed to validate them, reduce their size, remove embedded metadata, improve display quality, and securely store them.
8. Security
KefiCircle uses reasonable measures to protect information and limit access to authorized users. However, no online service can guarantee absolute security.
You are responsible for protecting access to your devices and authentication methods and should promptly report suspected unauthorized access.
9. Your Choices
Depending on the feature, you may:
Choose what optional profile information to provide.
Edit certain information about yourself.
Turn certain optional features on or off.
Reply STOP to opt out of text messages.
Request deletion of your account.
Some information and communication methods are necessary for KefiCircle to provide the service.
10. Changes to This Notice
KefiCircle may update this Privacy Notice as the service changes. The current version will be made available through KefiCircle.
